The Ambleside Orchestra is a community organization incorporated under British Columbia’s Society Act.

Every member of the orchestra pays an annual membership fee.

We also depend on the generosity of organizations and individuals who provide funding and volunteer their time to keep the orchestra running smoothly.

Donate to Our Scholarships and Awards Fund

We provide scholarships and monetary awards for promising orchestra members between the ages of fourteen and twenty-five.

Our goal is to encourage the development of our young members both as musicians and as fully rounded members of society.

Donate to Our Operational Fund

It takes money to run a community orchestra.

We need to rent our rehearsal space, remunerate our music director and concertmaster, buy music, and pay operational expenses such as insurance premiums, bank fees, and website registration.

It also takes energy to keep an orchestra going.

We depend on our members and community volunteers to help with publicity and promotion, fundraising activities, library maintenance, and all the little things that make concerts run smoothly, such as taking donations at the door, helping audience members get settled, and providing refreshments.
