Come and enjoy the Ambleside Orchestra!
The Ambleside Orchestra is a growing and maturing multigenerational community orchestra based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Our members enjoy the fun of making music with people of all ages—from fourteen to ninety-something—and from all walks of life.
We perform an advanced repertoire and work hard to improve our level of musicianship.
We present up to eight mainstage and community concerts of varied orchestral repertoire each year, across the North Shore and in Vancouver.
We’re now livestreaming our mainstage concerts! If you can't attend in person, it's a great way to enjoy a concert at home.
Admission is still by donation, but you need to reserve your spot.
Of course, you can still enjoy a concert in person, too. Please wear a well-fitting mask within our venue.

Scholarships and Awards Program
Our scholarships and awards program recognizes young members of the orchestra for their contributions and dedication to the orchestra’s full range of activities.
We are grateful for the support we receive from our audiences, our donors, and our other friends.
Come and enjoy one of our concerts soon!
Attention, Former and Aspiring String Players!
Do you have a beloved old stringed instrument gathering dust somewhere? Did you play many years ago, and now finally have the time and energy to get back to it, but aren’t sure where to start?
Or have you played a wind or brass instrument for a long time, and want to know what it's like to play a violin, viola, cello, or double bass?
We have an exciting new training program just for you!
Come and join in lively brush-up sessions with like-minded string players under the leadership of our associate conductor, Nicholas Urquhart. Rehearsals are on Tuesday nights at 7:30 pm in Highlands United Church.
The eventual goal is to prepare you to join the string section of the Ambleside Orchestra.
For information, please email [email protected] and ask about the new Ambleside Orchestra String Ensemble.
Make new friends, have fun, and fall in love with your instrument all over again!
